NBC Golf Analyst, Entrepreneur and 4-time PGA TOUR winner Notah Begay will explore the conference theme: Business Beyond Borders
The conference and trade show will be held at Casino del Sol Resort, Tucson, Arizona. The resort is owned and operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
“We are thrilled that Notah Begay, NBC Golf Analyst and the first Native American to be on the PGA tour, will address our conference,” said Spicer. “In collaboration with Ty Butler, Notah designed the Sewailo Golf Club which is where we are holding our Desert Classic Golf Tournament on November 6.” Sewailo Golf Club is the resort’s 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course.
“Sewailo is a wonderful golf destination for southern Arizona,” said Begay, a 4-time PGA TOUR winner and Founder of the golf course development firm NB3 Consulting. “This course was a unique opportunity to showcase the beauty of the Sonoran desert and the tradition of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. Ty Butler and I had the same vision to transform a flat desert terrain into a dramatic golf course. It offers strategic holes, combined with a great range of shot values and aesthetics that is challenging but fun for players of all abilities. I’m extremely pleased that AIGA has selected it to be the course for this popular, annual tournament.”
Begay, who also is a golf analyst for the Golf Channel, is founder of the Notah Begay III Foundation and Founder & CEO of KivaSun Foods, a Native American owned company with a global mission. In his keynote address, he will discuss how he reinvented himself by seeing and seizing opportunities in a borderless world.
