PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) announced today that statewide tribal contributions increased for the quarter ending June 30, 2018. Tribal contributions to the State from gaming revenue will total approximately $27.4 million for the quarter – a 4.4 percent increase as compared to the same quarter of last year.
“This is a strong start to Fiscal Year 2019,” said Daniel Bergin, Director of the Arizona Department of Gaming. “This sixth consecutive quarter of growth is more evidence of our State’s healthy economy.”
The Arizona Department of Gaming will distribute quarterly tribal contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund as follows:

| Arizona Department of Gaming operating costs: | $2,463,452 |
| Arizona Wildlife Conservation Fund: | $1,948,864 |

| Problem Gambling Education, Treatment and Prevention: | $547,434 |

Per the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, tribes with casinos contribute 1 percent to 8 percent of their Class III gross gaming revenue to the state, cities, towns and counties. Currently, there are 24 Class III casinos in Arizona, which ADG regulates with Arizona tribes.
