The leadership of the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) met Friday, July 8th with Dr. Peter Rhee at the UMC Trauma Center for an appreciation luncheon and tour of the UMC Trauma Center, which is supported by funding from Arizona Indian gaming tribes. Peter Rhee, M.D., medical director, UMC Trauma Program and chief, Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Surgery, UA Department of Surgery, told the tribal leaders, “Without the money made available to the trauma centers from the tribal leaders, the trauma center in Tucson would not be where it is today.
